Before I used to see these ‘ethnic’ designs everywhere and it used to annoy, like you don’t even know where it comes from…Now, I don’t really mind that people wear it. What annoys me is how these designs are being taken and exploited by larger companies. Basically mass producing culture for profit…I think it would be great (and this goes for cultures all over the world, not just Ghana) for people to grow businesses out of their own culture and traditions instead having someone from outside come in and profit off of something that wasn’t theirs to begin with.
Sorry if this answer isn’t very cohesive I kinda just woke up lol
